Three Best (and Worst) Mobile App Game That I’ve Played

This is my own opinion. I didn't look at any ratings of any of these games. Some of the games in my 3 worst may be amusing to others. we all have different opinions anyway. Enjoy reading. (:

3 worst games:

PIMPLE POPPER

The player of this game, as the name suggests, will pop pimples/ zits found in the game. The game will show a random face with zits. The player will zoom in that face to clearly see that zit then the player will slide both his thumbs from the side to the center of the zit, imitating a pinching motion. Doing this 3-4 times will pop the zit. There are 4 kinds of zit in the game: blackheads, whiteheads, full blown pimple and pimple scab. The first 3 mentioned uses the pinching motion while for the pimple scab the player just uses his finger to slide the scab off the face. While the level progresses, the pimples start to multiply.

For $1.99 – game, you’d expect something more. The only objective of the game is to pop pimples and that’s ok, but the tasks you have to do to achieve that objective are too few, just pop or peel, meaning it’s not really that challenging. There is no time limit, so you can take all the time you need in one level as long as you pop the pimples successfully. There are no lives, meaning you can’t lose. There are reactions, though, if the player touches the eye or scratched at the wrong place, but that’s it. Just a reaction, nothing else. There is also only but 1 feedback – “Good!” If developers are going to make a very short game, the least they could do is make it interesting.

HAIR PLUCKER

Almost like the Pimple Popper (same developers), the objective of the game is what the name suggests – plucking hair. This time, a whole person is shown on the screen. Hairs are scattered throughout the body, neck and face. It’s the player’s task to zoom in these hairs and pluck them. There are only 2 kinds of hair – a regular hair and an ingrown hair. To remove an ingrown hair the player must first remove the thin skin covering this hair then pluck the hair. The player must tap the screen to zoom then slide his finger to pluck the hair.

This game is free in the app store. Same as my comment for the pimple popper, this game is kind of boring since the tasks are too few. It is not challenging because there is no life and time limit and it does the same thing over and over on different levels.

COTTON CANDY!

Cotton Candy! is a game that lets the player make cotton candy from scratch. First, it lets the player choose what sugar he will use for the cotton candy. Then it lets the player choose what design of stick he’ll use and will let the user design the cotton candy. Lastly, the player will tap the screen multiple times and it will make an effect that the player is eating the cotton candy that he made.

This is a free game from the app store with a lot of in-app purchases. This means that the game is free, but if there’s something locked within the game the player must buy it to from the app store with real money. Like, if the player wants an orange-colored or rainbow-colored sugar, he must buy it. If the player wants a polka-dotted stick or a stick with a frog on top, he must also buy it. The game is not really that bad but the limited free options make it annoying. The game would be better if all the options are available.

3 best games:

AMATEUR SURGEON

Players of Amateur Surgeon will start as a pizza delivery guy that meets an old man. This old man needs surgery and he, himself is a doctor, but he can’t perform surgery on his own. So he asked the pizza delivery guy to do the surgery for him, guiding him on how to do it. But the catch is that they are not in a hospital and the supplies of the pizza delivery guy is limited so he just used whatever he has like his pizza cutter as scalpel etc.

The objective of the game is fairly simple – make the patient live! The game is not easy. There are a lot of different scenarios concerning the patient and most of them are weird. Like the guy who wanted the player to pimp out his internal organs – literally, meaning changing his rib cage and lungs with gold plated things. The patient could also die. There is a jog log which displays the heart rate of the patient. Given the time constraint and the difficulty of the levels it’s very hard to get an A (I haven’t gotten an A , by the way. My highest grade is B) But still, the game is very fun to play with overall.

MEGA JUMP

Just like Doodle Jump or any other jump game in the app store, the objective of this game is to reach the top of whatever it is that the main character is jumping for. But the difference of this game is that the main character (a frog) is not jumping on ledges but he is jumping on coins. These coins give him boost to go to the top. There are no ledges in the game, meaning to say if the frog fails to find a coin to get, he’ll fall and it will end the game.

From what I’ve heard, there are 20 levels in the game (the game is so hard I’ve only reached 5 levels) Literally everytime I play the game, my palms get all sweaty and I’m nervous that I’m gonna fall, especially if I’ve gone so far and I’ll almost reach the next level (by the way, you’ll know when you’re reaching a new level if the color of the sky is starting to change). There are also power ups in the game which makes it interesting. So for me even if the entire game you’re just moving up and up it doesn’t matter because the level of suspense is also going up.

RAGE

Rage is a first person POV shooting game. The player is a human and is invited by some big guy (not sure if human) to join a game show. In this game show, the player is put into an abandoned place (usually an abandoned mental asylum) and his task is to shoot the mutant things (they were once humans) who are going after him while going to the exit. If he reached the end point alive, then he will proceed to the next level. If he died inside the abandoned place, the game is over.

I personally like horror, gory, morbid stuff myself but I don’t like playing it in a mobile device. Probably because I think the game is more exciting if I played it in a bigger screen, considering all the scary and surprising things that will happen throughout the game. But for this game I gave an exception. This game was my past time before when I have to wait for longer hours. Shooting the head of mutants for me is exciting and there are lots of thing that can be seen in the game such as ammos, money and health kits. Also, since the game doesn’t have much storyline in it that means I don’t have to understand many things so I’m playing it in my phone. Unlike Resident Evil or Fatal Frame that I would really like to play on the big screen because there are a lot of things that you have to consider.
